Social Productivity Tools for the Social Entrepreneur

Effective time management is one of my daily pursuits as the more I get involved in, the more important optimizing my time online allows me to do more things in less time.

There are tools that are useful to both the entrepreneur, as well as to a team you may may need to establish for a large campaign.

What social productivity tools are most effective? What tools can an online business use to promote and market their product or service in a positive, viral manner?

Although there are several tools that can be used in maximizing social productivity, there are four especially useful tools that can accelerate a user's production levels- and one bonus.

Ping.fm

Ping is considered one of the heavyweight tools in social networking productivity. This tool allows a user to use a post, status update, tweet, or video to spread across all aspects of their social media arsenal. Ping is very powerful and all encompassing with the ability to have an update sent to over 40 different social sites simultaneously. This is a big timesaver and reduces the amount of time the user would spend trying to post the same or similar information to several different sites. Although Ping is a true workhorse in social productivity, the user still has options and can choose what sites and platforms they want to post to and customize their communications as they deem necessary.

Hootsuite

This tool is completely web-based and free of charge to users. The main attraction about Hootsuite is its ability to automate Twitter updates and photos. Other impressive capabilities of the tool allow users to manage multiple Twitter profiles and schedule any tweets in advance. Users also have the ability to monitor certain keywords and create various friend groups which can help them to successfully manage large accounts. With Hootsuite, users can also feed RSS updates automatically to their Twitter stream.

Selective Twitter Status

This is a very useful tool if a person uses Facebook and Twitter exclusively and wants to integrate the two platforms in order to reach a wider segment of the social community. Selective Twitter Status can be added to a Facebook profile and once it is installed, adding a small code of #fb will post selected tweets to a Facebook status.

Socialize Your Cause

Socialize Your Cause is a highly impressive social media campaign management tool that is designed to bring exposure to a cause by using multiple social channels. I've come a long way with these sites. I'm a car salesman and I've achieved great businesses with, from direct sellers and friends to great companies like Auto Shipping Network, which can transport cars from anywhere in the world directly to my lot.
