Serph's Up
Last spring we started developing Serph, a tool that helps you find what other people are saying on the web right now. For a couple of months now we have slowly been inviting a handful of people into our closed beta for testing and feedback. As of yesterday we have officially gone from a closed beta to a more "open" beta. So if you are interested in trying Serph head on over and signup, we are now letting people in. Read further if you want to know more about our reasoning behind developing it and how it works.
The reason we developed Serph was out of our own pain to track and monitor buzz as it happens in real time. Reputation management is very important to us as well as many of our clients. With the rise in social media there are millions of people talking about news, products, services, industries, and brands at any given time. Seeing as there was no-one solution to find everything that is being said on social media websites, we decided to build a tool of our own to help with that.
When you type a query into Serph, it goes out and searches online social media sites to find the latest buzz. After it gathers the results, they are sorted and organized so the most recent buzz appears first. Serph gathers these results from blog search engines, social media websites, social news websites and social bookmarking websites. These include Technorati, Flickr, Yahoo Answers, YouTube, Digg, and Delicious just to name a few.
Serph can used to find what people are saying about your company, products, employees, services, industry, competition, and more so that you can respond to your buzz faster. Serph also offers RSS feeds so you subscribe to the search queries that are most important to you. Tracking your buzz is extremely important in today's online world and we hope this tool helps everyone solve the pain of finding and responding to buzz.
So give a Serph a try, we're eager to hear what you think. Serph's Up!

Fabulous tool! Forget individually checking Google blogsearch, Technorati, bloglines, etc. I think this falls into the "hyper-aggregator" category... Thanks guys

It's good stuff. Totally.
I've been using it for a while now and it's just insane how stalkery you can get with RSS feeds of your search results.

Great to hang for a bit at Affiliate Summit -- next time let's see if we can kick it up a notch and get you guys to spend more than a half-day attending a conference event ;-)

Serph.com has no posted privacy policy. What are they going to do with our email address? I guess anything that they want to. And there doesn't seem to be any email address at all on the site for me to ask them directly. Mike

Cameron, thanks for adding the info to the footer of the signup page. It's one of those easy things to do to help people feel better about giving information to a new web site or company.

You guys continue to rock! Now I can find out who's saying Cameron likes dicks and what a princess Neil is and more. Perhaps you should send Qwest an invite.

I've been trying it out here and there for the past couple of days, and I have to say it's an unbelievable product!
All the latest news in one tool. Finding buzz has never been so damn easy. You guys are pure geniuses.
The RSS feeds look like they're unavailable right now, so I'll have to give that a try later.
