Serphing out of beta

We're bringing Serph out of beta today. We first mentioned our reputation management tool; Serph, a couple of months ago and we're now ready for it to be open to the public. We appreciate everyone who used Serph during our beta period and those who provided feedback and brought our attention to various bugs.

Cool stuff! 2 questions...

  1. How far back in time will the results go? I see varying dates on the last page for different searches.

  2. What are the benefits of signing up?

KD, here are some answers for you:

  1. Serph goes as far back as the results it receives from the sources it queries. Since the sources vary heavily in terms of how far back they go and the number of results they show, the last page will have varying dates. We were thinking of setting a hard limit of just showing results for the last 30, 60 or 90 days, but we wanted to get feedback before implementing something like that.

  2. If you signup, you will be able to see your own search history and also will get some additional features which we have not enabled yet. Previously, we had it so you could only get RSS feeds if you signed up, but we decided against that for launch.

Keep the questions / feedback coming, it will only help us improve :)

I used Serph when it was in beta and now it is quite cool tool ;)

And yes, it would be cool if we could set up a limit of just showing results for the last 30, 60 or 90 days ..
