iPost Develops a Social Networking Interface

A new social networking interface recently developed by iPost will now allow marketers to connect with customers and engage them in networking and conversation from wherever they may be, whether that’s in Twitter, Facebook or others. The integration of the social media component of iPost is located in their iPost Mailing Manager (iMM) connected digital marketing platform that enables the ability for customers to initiate multiple conversations. The company’s new single interface will use and offer social networking platforms like Twitter and Facebook to cross-promote any social or marketing campaigns.

For instance, when a company schedules an email offer, marketers will also be able to access and schedule a relevant post to the company’s Facebook wall, including any pertinent links. The links will notify fans automatically when the email campaign launches, and, the marketers can also schedule Twitter posts including links to offers that will coincide with the live launches of any email campaigns. This will also give marketers the opportunity to see what other campaigns are available or scheduled, and they can work their own campaigns in more detail based on that information.

The company currently operates an iMM platform, but recently took steps to evolve that platform into more of a multi-channel platform to include more social networking venues and digital components. Starting with the addition of mobile marketing capabilities (SMS) in October 2010, the addition of a social networking component opened up more opportunities for the company to connect by using functionalities for Twitter and Facebook, and the ability to unify email and mobile marketing through its social platform. This single platform interface will help businesses to effectively manage subscribers, followers and fans and engage with customers in social networking conversations and interactions from their original point of occurrence.
