Increase Engagement in One Easy Step
Perhaps the hardest part of blogging is being able to engage your audience and get them to participate in the conversation. Being able to build a relationship with every new visitor that comes to your blog is an important step in getting your audience to take part in your discussions, and it has never been easier.
While reading a post on Alister Cameron's blog I came across a wordpress plugin that makes the whole process of connecting with every new visitor who participates in the discussions on your site incredibly easy. The plugin, developed by Justin Shattuck allows you to detect every time a new visitor comments on your site comments for the first time and sends the commenter an email based on certain parameters that you can set up.
By using the plugin you can essentially send emails to your commenters (that appear to be personal but are in fact automated), thanking them for their participation and ultimately increasing the odds of them participating again. Of course it would be much better if you sent each user a personalized email but not everyone has the time to do that.

Yeah, this is a great plugin, Muhammad.
The point I make in my post is worth repeating here: that the plugin works best for me with a little "hack" that sends the thank you email to ME... I then make minor "personalization customizations" before sending on to the recipient.
This is the ideal, yet least painful "workflow" for me.

I agree with Alister I don't like the Idea of sending automated mail. I rather do a little personalized touch before I send it. Also I don't want to send a mail to some who doesn't add value to the blog post. since some people just like to type a one liner.
