Google, helping you download movies

Neil Patel

Have you ever seen or heard people talking about downloading movies off the Internet? It may seem like a complicated thing to do, but because Google has millions of pages in their index it is now easy to find and download movies. By using some search operators you can refine your search to mainly show movies that can be downloaded.
###inurl
The inurl operator you can include and exclude results from Google.

inurl:html

By searching with that query Google will return results that have html in the URL string.

-inurl:html

By placing a minus sign in front Google will remove results that have html in the URL string.
###intitle
The intitle operator allows you to refine your results so that only results with that keyword in the title show up.

intitle:Spiderman 2

If you search for that on Google, documents with Spiderman 2 in the title should be the only ones that are displayed.
###(avi)
Because movie files are mainly in avi or mpg format we can enter a search operator to try and limit the results to specific files.

(avi|mpg)

When using that string in the keyword box, only search results that are avi or mpg should show up.
###Spiderman 2
By putting all the operators together we can now search for movies. I searched for Spiderman 2.

-inurl:htm -inurl:html -inurl:php intitle:spiderman 2 (mpg|avi)

So the next question is when will the RIAA and the like take notice of this?
They are attacking BitTorrent trackers for ‘indexing’ files and linking to them. But isn’t that what Google are doing?

  2. Neil Patel says:

The search engines are indexing illegal movies, music and much more. Because of this I think they will go after the search engines, the question is just when.

    thanks linda

  4. Neil Patel says:

Linda, mpg usually works, but there are a lot of different variables that determine if the video will play on your DVD player. With some DVD players you have to use a certain type of dvd-r.
