Crazy Egg Launches Confetti
I don't often blog about analytics but as some of you may know I am deeply involved in the space because I am one of the owners of Crazy Egg. In the past I blogged about it and why it is useful for website owners and today we just launched a feature called confetti that gives website owners a better understanding of how visitors interact with their website.
If you take a look at the screenshot above, it shows how people are interacting with my blog. The cool thing about confetti is you can sort visitor interaction based on referrers, search terms, operating systems, browsers, time before click, or even window size. Plus, you can compare two or more elements against each other such as how visitors who came from YouTube interact with your site versus visitors from StumbleUpon.
The main reason we created confetti is that it helps you make sense of data that you never understood before. You know how Google Analytics shows you browser data and you have no clue what to do with the data or what it means? With confetti, you can see how FireFox users interact differently then IE users. With my blog I noticed that very few IE users clicked on the "Older Posts" link even though they make up almost 1/4 of the traffic. This shows me that I need to try and get more FireFox users to my site because they maybe more interested in reading the content.
There are probably dozens of reasons why confetti can be useful for you but instead of me continuing to ramble on about it, I recommend you try it out for yourself.

Interesting, I've been looking for a analytics program which offers good features at an affordable rate. Heatmaps might be very useful, and I'm looking forward to checking that out after a few days of data collecting. Really I've been getting so fed up with G Analytics that I created my own last week which is already giving me better info on my cpc campaign (it actually detects yahoo CPC) and content optimization.

This is incredibly cool. Thanks to this post I am now testing this on my site. We aren't running advertisements yet, but anything related to visitor information is a huge plus.

I love it! Anything people do to make data more visually appealing and comprehensible is a good thing, IMHO. And Confetti does a great job of that. I especially like the Time to Click option for the dots, and how clicking any dot gives you the rundown on it.
Neil, there's a typo in your title: 'Luanches' should be 'Launches'

I have been running crazy egg on my sites for a while and it has really helped optimize my action/ conversion points. It will be great to test this now by referrer to see if we can squeeze out some extra.
Good work

Wow... amazing tool. I just installed the script and I'm waiting to see my "confeti" report. By the way this kind of tools really will help me on some e-Marketing metrics, because on most stats software I have a lot of information and I know this information is important, but didn't know how to get the important information.
Once again great work!
