Check Out Search Muffin

One of my friends just released a new service called Search Muffin that allows you to see how you rank on Google in different locations. As you know, Google has different datacenters, so it is always a wise thing to see where you rank regionally.

Kinda reminds me of the old SEO tool on McDar.net (I think that was the domain?) Anyway, nice work! I like the clean design, although I might have held back on the ad placement until the site started to develop a following. It's a little annoying at the top as well. Also, it would be great if you could compare 2/3 results side by side. Just my 2 cents! Thanks

SEMS,

Thanks for the thoughtful comments. I'd like to ad that some great functionality for the site is that it allows you to see who is using Adwords and bidding regionally. I've found that to be the most valuable in terms of National Adwords Campaign management, and sales prospecting. This was originally developed as an internal tool, but we decided to put it out to the greater community. Thanks for the side-by-side comparison feature idea, too.

Great tool interesting choice for a name though "search muffin". Since i work for an international search company I found this tool particularly handy.

Really? Promoting a tool like this that took a day to create and doesn't even really work very accurately? Who couldn't add the little code to the end of a Google query like they are doing?

Just lost a bit of respect for you for promoting this tool...

Quoting SAD:-

"Who couldn't add the little code to the end of a Google query like they are doing?"

Well SAD, I guess my answer would be "You couldn't until you visited SearchMuffin... so you didn't." ...

It is not about adding codes after a query or about the site that went down for some reason for a bit. It is not about how long it takes to write a code...

.. its all about an idea... about the vision that you have...

So annoying, just wrote a huge comment and your server did not post, bugger! Great product and love the name but does sound like a porn search engine title. Cheers, Matt.
