Beginner's Guide to Digging on the Nintendo Wii
With the release of the console specific Opera browser we have been able to surf the web on the Wii. Which of course means that you can finally step away from your computer screen, get comfortable in that couch and get ready to get social through your television screen.
You can use the Wii for anything you want to do on Digg (should work equally as well for other socially driven sites) whether it be submitting a story, commenting on other people's finds or reading simply posts. You will have to excuse the poor photography as we run you through the entire process. As of this time I'm unsure of how to do print-screens on the Wii so my camera had to do.

To get started you just click on the the www link and enter the url, which in this case is digg.com.

After entering the site I found an article that was worth a Digg so clicked on the Digg button and at that point was asked to login. Just enter your username and password to sign in and you will have full access to your profile and the site.

Digging an article is as simple as pointing the finger at the Digg icon and clicking it.

Submitting and commenting on articles requires the CAPTCHA, which was hard to see at first but is not much of a problem when you zoom in.

As you can see the Wii makes a great alternative to your computer for browsing the internet and feeding your social media addictions. While the bigger screen is a plus, using the Wiimote can be a hassle and left me wanting a Wii-keyboard. And Nintendo would be smart to release one because that would make the Wii a great option for people who want to use a lightweight computer for basic uses.
Finally as (at this level only basic) computing and niche media comes together with the more general media in the living room, this creates the opportunities for more innovative models for not only disseminating content and engaging audiences but also promoting new kinds of content.

A "Wii-keyboard"? I think the proper name would be "Wiiboard". :D

Wish I would have thought of that. :)

This is a lame article for pronet.
I was expecting something telling diggers to stop submitting ten articles on the new VC releases every Monday. Or possibly an article telling diggers to stop submitting dupes for every little thing Nintendo does! I bury over half of the stuff in the upcoming Nintendo Wii section as dupes everyday!

This is the reason why pronet is a complete joke an is buried by digg users...b/c you post completely useless garbage all the time, and consider it award-winning content.
Hell this is why the entire blogosphere is a joke, b/c bloggers get unjustifiably paid to write posts that are a complete waste of time. Honestly I see more thought put into one sentence by any comment on any website than (pronet) bloggers put into their posts.
The blogosphere will never get any credibility that the mainstream media outlets get, b/c despite how people hate mainstream media, myself included, they do far better reporting, and investigating and researching than any blogger on the internet does. That and the fact that they actually know how to write, majored in journalism in college, and are capable of deep, abstract, creative, intellectual thought...when compared with the conttent I see on sites, a little child could write better posts than this.
